Kids can be mindful too!


 4 or 6 week Mindfulness program for children and adolescents (age 7-17)


In each 45 minute session, children are guided through breathing and movement techniques such as mindful sitting, mindful listening, mindful eating and mindful stretching. Some topics of discussion include mindfulness, emotions, gratitude, compassion, generosity, and reaction vs response.


Studies have shown that Mindfulness creates positive changes such as: 


  • enhanced concentration and focus
  • increased sense of calm
  • decreased stress and anxiety
  • improved impulse control
  • increased self-awareness
  • skillful responses to difficult emotions
  • increased empathy and understanding of others
  • development of conflict resolution skills


Children are experiencing stress and anxiety at high levels these days. They are faced with peer pressure, bullying, family stress, relationships, high school workload, body image, social media pressure and more. They need mindfulness every bit as much as adults do! Teaching mindfulness practices while at a young age is a gift they can take with them throughout life.
